I have always loved to draw and was thrilled to go to art college at 17,where I studied painting,drawing and textile design. After graduation,I became a clothing designer , later an art teacher in senior school, and a college tutor in design and textiles. Always exhibiting and selling my own work in shops and galleries across the UK...paintings ,drawings,embroideries and textile wall hangings . For many years now,I have been a full time artist.
Drawing is my passion....it is totally absorbing and brings both satisfaction and frustration.Sleep is an unwelcome intrusion. I am never without pencil and paper and design on trains,buses and planes. Being an artist has shaped my whole life,it has been a real joy and a great privilege.
I believe that creative enjoyment is for everyone.It can be taught to all ages and to varying levels,and is not solely for those who are blessed with natural ability. It is therapeutic and good for the soul.
